Loyalty

So I was in a sorority in college.  I loved it although I was not particularly active, and I remain loyal to the sisterhood in a number of ways.  One of those ways is a persistent devotion to Leeza Gibbons.  I haven’t ever watched Dancing With the Stars before, but this season?  This season I am SO THERE because Leeza’s on it.  Leeza isn’t just any old Tri Delt, fools, she was the president of my very chapter!  Of course I have to be there for her.  Surely she remembers that time she was the marshal of our Homecoming parade and I got to hang out with her all day and escort her around.  She’s counting on me.

She looked lovely last night, did she not?  Yes, she did.

(And if she gets voted off — and I sincerely hope she doesn’t — loyalty shifts to Steve Sanders, who was looking pretty adorable last night even with his unnecessary almost-beard.)

Were you listening to the conversation I had with John the other night as we were (well, I was) watching this? My loyalty was 100 percent with Steve Sanders, as I am a 90210 supporter through-and-through. I mean, if David Silver was up there, I'd be cheering him on. If Joe E. Tata was up there, I'd be cheering him on. Even Emily Valentine. Even Ray Pruit, though he might throw me down the stairs if I didn't support him. But, Leeza has shifted some of the support. Gamecocks first. 90210 friends ... they're first, too, but second first if that makes sense. So, I'd say its 50-50 now.

Tushar & I were saying how funny it would be if Ian's dance partner insisted on calling him "Sanders" like Brandon Walsh used to. As in, "Come on Sanders, pick it up! You can do better that that!"

Leeza looked so cute last night doing the mambo. She's such a good sport. I hope she stays around for a while. I really hope I look that good when I'm 50 (or even 40)!
