| Nobody's getting Trashelle for Christmas, though Bkenny001 tried. Go figure, $1,500 for a day with Trishelle wasn't enough to meet the reserve... (Thanks to Stereogum for the pointer.)Ok, on to the music stuff.It looks like Rhino has done it again. This time it's Left of the Dial, which compiles tracks that one could easily use to recreate a late 80s/early 90s college rock station. And a good one too. Heck, the first disc includes tracks from REM, Depeche Mode, the Replacements, the Jam, the Cure, Dead Kennedys, X, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Husker Du, and Black Flag.This and No Thanks! make an awesome pair covering a lot of much needed material from the 70s and 80s. Next up has got to be the 90s alt-rock collection. |
